The side business

So I have this little business, yes?

A business aside from my proper day job business of building. This business' opening hours are between 5 - 11pm although I pretty much day dream about it all day long and instead of taking proper breaks at my desk, I usually just switch between my jobs.

This business I am putting my heart and soul into is a design business. Currently selling lettering/crafty things in my etsy store but hoping to grow and expand and be a letterer and stationary maker and designer and photographer and all other sorts of things.

This week I sat down at my desk with all the will and determination that there ever was to conquer photoshop and turn one of my hand lettered pieces into a digital file.

Then I realised I needed illustrator too?

Much swearing, many subscriptions and a calming chamomile later, I did it, I turned one of my pieces into the shonkiest vector there ever was. I was elated!

Then I realised I need to make my business look proper?

You know, a logo, a brand, business cards! an email address!!

Today I've created a mood board (in photoshop, HOORAY), purchased a domain and set up an email address I don't know how to install on my mac.

Now I realise I need to keep track of all these expenses because lets face it, at the moment this is more of an expensive hobby than a business.
